Bellingen had a huge year in 2009, recording its highest annual rainfall on record – 3372mm – and weathering five serious floods.
While flooding is a part of life in Bellingen it can cause serious erosion and damage to fences and plantings. Like many landcarers we use Lomandra longifolia to slowing water flow and help hold river and creek banks together.
Here are a few pics of the aftermath of the March 31 2009 flood on and around our Bellingen Market Park site.
